1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I would like to see the use of lighting to affect the mood as it changes from one madman to the next. Another way to affect the mood is to use the sets, and I think we’ll need to get together after school to put those together. I do not see how Ms. Nero could do all of that by herself.
2. What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
CHARLIE M>
Although I like accents, I think Charlie M. should take the scary voice down just a notch. it was hard to hear what he was saying, so it might be OK for the drama kids to hear, but the regular audience member might have trouble understanding what he’s trying to say.
SAMANTHA W>
I know you are trying, and I like you costume, but I can’t really feel your emotion. It still sounds like you’re trying to memorize it. So I guess I would work on really getting to know my lines over the weekend. I’d be happy to help. We can even practice over the phone. Email me back if that’s something you want to try
1. I think that maybe the lights could be a little better. I also think that there should be a scarier mood in the play than there is.
2. I think if everybody memorized their lines then it would be better. I think that some of the actors need to project their joice a little more too.
1. I think this play will look a lot better with costumes. The lighting is the same for every performer, and I think they should change it depending on the mood of the character.
2.Layton R needs to talk a little louder because it is hard to hear him in the audience. Brit K is talking a little fast and is kind of hard to understand.
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I would like to have sounds (effect) on our play als0 to have better the lights
(Jody S.)
It’s really good how you read your lines but you have to memorize it more.
(Lieza C)
I like the way how you said every words on your lines and the way you pronounce it. Seems that you can really feel what you were reading. The only problem is you don’t have it memorized. Keep
1. what suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I agree with Jason that i need to speak louder and project more and i think that if every one had their lines down they would know more of what to do and not feel rushed or nervous.
Also if we get all of the necessarry stage props (lights, sound effects, and what ever visual effects needed the whole production will run smoother.
1. I would like to have more stuff. We need more costume more light more scenery everything just more. I don’t know how I am to help with it, but there is just something missing. I can’t quite put my finger on it though.
2. The only problem I noticed with the few people that were there, is that there is no spark. And there is no umph. Layton needs to speak up when performing, and I know all oif the actors need to step it up and perfomr like a true actor or actress. I can’t say much because i also need to step it up, but the performance is just not right. And I think it has to do a whole lot with where the actors are in this point of the game.
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I also think that the lighting for each character should change faster and be related to the mood at that point. Memorization of lines would make it flow better too. Once the sets are done I think the people in the play will be able to get more into it.
>>I don’t remember if we get microphones for the final, but if we don’t then everyone will need to be LOUD but still be understandable.
2. What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
BRIT K>
I think you read your lines a little too fast, and you need to articulate. Also, instead of walking around in a circle, try pacing but not turning your back on the audience.
LIESA C>
You seem really into what you are doing. x] Keep going and once it’s all memorized our play will be awesome!
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I would agree with Liesa and say that we need more costumes and enteract with the audience more.
2. What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
Every prepormer should enteract with the audience and give more. And all preformers should speak up and get into character.
1)What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of “Tell Tale Heart”?
I just think people need to memorize their lines a little bit better. But overall I think the play will be a great sucess.
2)What suggetions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
Matt T. I thnk you need to memorize your lines better, and you to have more umph in your voice…like more action in it.
i like the way you present your presentation. Just make sure you memorize your lines.
make sure to project to the audience instead of reading the lines to yourself.
Also i think the lights need to be fixed to a more creepier scenery.
We need to make sure to include many decorations. (the mist maker, fake candles, etc.) This would greatly improve our overall performance.
the comments were supposed to be for jody and brit in my last comment
I think Eeric S does good until the evil laugh made it almost funny and the beatbox kinda ruins it also.
Liesa, I think that you did a good job with the tone of your voice, but I think it would help if you memorized your lines.
dakota m.
needs to be more dramatic and most people including myself need to memorize their lines better.
Jem p.
jem did a great job!, but she needs to slow down a little.
nicole p.
i think that she needs to look at the audience a little more
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I would like to have sounds (effect) on our play als0 to have better the lights………. and every body need to work harder.
(Jody S.)
It’s really good how you read your lines but you have to memorize it more.
(Lieza C)
I like the way how you said every words on your lines and the way you pronounce it. Seems that you can really feel what you were reading. The only problem is you don’t have it memorized. Keep it up
Nicole P, you have your lines memorized the best, just remember to emphasize some words instead of speaking in the same tone the whole time. Your performance will be ten times better.
1. I agree with the idea that the lights should change according to the mood and everyone needs to memorize their lines.
2.Liesa> you did a great job emphasising the right words. You need to memorize your lines, but keep up the good work you look like you know what you are doing on the stage.
3.Layton> you are doing good, you only don’t know a little bit of your lines. You look comforatable on the stage in front of everyone.
Nicole P. She needs to say it slower.
liesa c. she did great on her performance. If she remorized it it would be perfect.
Nicole : you need to emphasize on words, not smile and SLOW DOWN when you talk. ALso everyone else needs to cool down if they have a calm part and you also if you have a scary/ obnoxious part you NEED to be scary snd obnoxious! Above all, I think that everyone needs to memorize their lines,m an do it qiuck.:)
not that scared It was not that frighting. The light was off.Eric your the beginnig you have to make them be scared. Layton, not that loud no pausing. Look at the audionce not the ground. Jem good. Matt speck up. Nicole good you did not laugh but know your lines. Jody know thouse lines quick. Brit now thouse line speck up and look at the audinouse. Kaliee now thouse lines and look at the audionce. but nice voice.
1) What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
I think that the entire cast should simply memorize their lines more. But, I think they have a really good feel for what their character should be.
2) What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
Each performer should focus on more interaction with the audience. & should speak alittle louder.
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
The lights should be scarier and the auditorium should also be scarrier and with all of our visions put together, like all of the scarry things we had in mind.
2. What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
You may use FIRST names with the last name INITIAL only!!!
Layton, should project his voice more. Matt, should get into character more. Nicole, get more comftorable with your lines and act them out more, same with Jody, Britt, and Kaylee. Liesa you wew great but just keep memorize thoes lines, and that goes for everyone, even me!
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”? I think we need to work on the lighting and how dim it should be at times. We need everybody to make sure to use more emphasis when needed.
2. What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon? I think that Nicole P. needs to take pauses to make it more dramatic. Also I think she needs to project her voice throughout the room. I also think almost everybody with the exception of a few people need to memorize their lins better.
A lot of people did really well they just need to memorize their lines. We think Nicole Perikins did really good because she had her lines memorized and she used her space well. Eric used his space very well. And he also emphasized his voice. Liesa did well because she projected her voice, but she just needs to memorize her lines. Brit connected with the character and he also did well, but he also needs to memorize his lines.
1) Like alot of people i agree that the lighting could be better, maybe make it a little bit darker and focus the light on the person who is talking to make the mood scarier. I also think that once we get the costumes, and practice with the costumes it will make it better.
2) I think that the only thing that alot of people are doing not just one person is not being totally comfortable, like messing with their clothes, but i feel like after we practice those people will get better and become more comfortable. And also i think that some people should try and speak a little bit louder.
Liesa C – i feel like your reall comfortbale with what your doing, and you know your lines and you feel confident.
I think that everyone really needs to speak up and get comfortable with the audience. Jem and Nicole really need to get into character and Nicole needs to be louder. Laton needs to slow down a bit, and Jody, Brit and Kailee need to articulate and be clear.
1. What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “Telltale Heart”?
we need more costumes and we need to be in character more.
2. What suggestions do you have for individual performers to improve upon?
ever one should be memorizing their lines and speaking up and should get into character more.
Brit- you need to know your lines and more into character.
Layton- you need to know your lines completely and move ur body more.
What suggestions do you have to improve the overall production of the “TellTale Heart”?
I think it might be betterto speak up a little and project your voice so the whole audience can hear
Try to slow down a little and try to make it a little more scary.
Slow it down a bit and try to face the audience a little more
I think the mood of the play is scary so try to dim the lights and have different moods for each person
1.)I Don’t have much imput and I cannot talk all so much becuase i have missed so many class periods.
But I do believe that if everyone were to put more into it, it would be an amazing production.
2.)For performers my only advice would be to MEMORIZE your lines. Then after doing that you can put more personality into it. If you have not memorized your lines you don’t get the actual feel rather than students that have.
To all of the people with speaking parts, try looking up, past the audience, at the back wall, as if you are daydreaming, or flashing back to what you are saying.
I think it could of been better because everyone has the potential to be great!
When you read it it sounded good but you just need to memorize your lines and it will be much better.
The lighting could use a little work but other than that it was not too bad.
1. The lighting should be better and it should only be focused on the person talking. The performance will be scarier once we have the costumes.
2. All of the performers need to speak up and then be very quite and slow when needed. Everyone needs to do a better job memorizing there lines.
I think at the beging there should be no lights except like a small one.
Mat: i think his vocie was good but he should speak a little louder also memorize lines
Jody: i think her voice should slow down a little and memorize lines
alot of people did really well everyone needs to memorize their lines more.
also nicole p needs to slow down and add more emotion into it and brit needs to slow down.
i think that we should ask what the actors whant to be more diff. wuth the play like mor costumes or more props or anything that can help.
I think that the spot light was far to bright. It made our rehersal less frightening. Maybe we could put some sort of thin cloth in front of the light to dim it. Or maybe the intensity of the light can be controlled. I don’t know how the lights work, so…
Brit: I know that some people have already said this, but, anyway, slow down when you speak, and add more enthusiasm, movement, and excitement. And, again, make sure that you spend lots of time memorizing your lines.
Today’s performance was better than before. People had their lines memorized and did very well. Here are some suggestions for you.
Layton R.
You did a good job. I think it might make it a little better if you had a little more emotion
Brit K.
I think it your performance was good. Try not to mumble and articulate your words a little more
Nicole P
Your’s was very good. I think it would help if you slowed it down just a bit and to have a scarier voice. Overall it was really good
Meghan J.
Your performance was good also. Except you should probably have your lines memorized. Also make sure that the whole house can hear you.
Everyone else.
You guys did a very good job. you really got this stuff down. Keep working.
Matt T. (Myself)
I know I need to work on memorizing my lines better. I also need to speak up a little. And I could probably use the whole stage more
Also lighting I think should more intense. I mean when someones speaking part has a scary tone you should use the lights to express that particulartone or feeling. And when different people come in it shold get dark.
Mikey C and Karl S.
Try to revise the brochure a bit. it should grab the reader’s attention and lure them in.
Eric S.
Your Story is good. Try to say it in a scarier voice.
Police Officers.
Everything is good. Maybe you could interact with each other more.
second rehearsal-
i agree with matt. also for all the actors make sure you use the space of the stage better and be sure to emphisize on all the creepy parts of your lines.
i think that we need to improve in the memorization of our lines. Also that we need to move around the stage more.
i also think that the lights could be a little better. there are spots where the lights are not even on the person speaking.
I think that the play overall is good, but the actors need to memorize their lines and get costumes. The lights program should also be improved, the spotlight should ALWAYS be on the main speaker.
Rehearsal #2. I think the overall play went alot smoother and looked a lot better than last time. More people their lines memorized.
Mad Men: You still need to speak a little louder because it is hard to hear from back stage and some people might miss their cues.
Lighting should be better. Eric should be rellly scarey and when we are done on erics last word we should turn the nights off and erica should say something scray like hope you don’t see an evil eye then laugh in the dark
Work on lighting and eric you have to be reallly be scarey and at the end you should turn the lights out and say I hope you dont see any eivl eyes then laugh
Jem P. You did a great job in everything.
Nicole P. Slow down a bit, but evrything else is good.
Liesa C. You did a great job!
Rehearsal #2
The play definitely improved in many ways the second time around. I have a suggestion for all the mad men, I think maybe you madmen could change your voice to make it sound scarier and more dramatic. Also everyone with a speaking part needs to get to the point where they can say their lines without hesitating. Almost everybody needs to work on emphasizing and pausing when needed.
i think that the play was a lot more organized whe nwe rehearsed than the first time.
The madmen need to memorize their lines and speak dramatically instead of saying them as if you are reading a book or something
I thought our performance was a much improved performance.
I dont think there was anyone that had and difficulty, its just I think that we need to memorize our lines a little better.
And also our lights they need to fit the catagory better and when im on stage laying down you can barely see me so i think we need a little bit more light when the old man is on the stage.
But overall I thought our performance
Rehersal #2. This time went alot easier since I know a couple of people were not there last time and they seemed to have caught up with everyone else. Tomorrow should go smoothly!
I think this time was a lot better than last time. Some of the mad man still need to work on their memorizing. They should also use the space on stage more.
Morgan: I think you should put more emotion into your character.
I think everyone did a good job. I know i have to speak up and so do a lot of other people. Also a couple of the mad men need to use there space well and they need to get more into the emotion.
Our final was good! Even though some people forgot their lines or went a little fast, it still seemed like it went well. The ghouls did a good try to scare the house, but that part could have been a little smoother. Everyone acted like they knew what they were doing, and thats an advancement from our other performances. Even from peeking out from behind the curtains, I thought it looked good.
Are we presenting this again for a different group?
I think everyone did a great job at the rehersal’s but maybe we needed to be a little more serious. I think everyone with a speaking part needed to become more comfortable with there lines.Everyone worked hard and did in the end memorize and make there speaking parts flow.We had a great performance and everyone contributed well!
I think everyone did a great job at the rehersal’s and there were very few errors to fix. With speakers i think we just needed to be comfortable with our lines and act more in character which we all did at our presentation. At the first rehersal the lighting wasnt down but when it came time time to the actual performance the lighting really set the mood! I think there were little things everyone knew to fix and we all worked together and pulled the presentation off!
